Inilah Malaysia..

Looking at the title of my post, maybe some will think that i m going to SHOOT Malaysia again.. No no, this time I just wanna look at my country from another perspective- trying to appreciate the small things that make Malaysia so Malaysia.

Few days ago, I was on an express bus to go Larkin followed by Singapore. Since it s an express bus, it s not supposed to stop along the way to pick up n drop down passengers. However, since it s in Malaysia, "Malaysia BOLEH!", the bus stops for more than 10 times along the 1hour 20mins journey. Well, what is so bad about it? Yeah this may lengthen the time taken by maybe 10 minutes, but this gives convenience to many people, since non-express bus from Pontian to JB is no longer available (or is it available? anyway i din c it for years already)

So Pakcik Makcil AhMoy can just make the bus stop in front of their house conveniently if their houses are jusy by road side. This day, a young Cik brought a little gal to take the express bus. After around 20mins, she asked the driver to stop at a kedai buah-- actually it s merely a gerai (Stall) by the road. They walked down the bus slowly. I saw the owner of the fruit stall smiling happily when he saw the bus stopping. I guess he is the grandpa. Just when the bus is going to move again, the PakCik stopped the bus, boarded it, passing some rambutans and duku to the bus driver, saying Terima Kasih eh...

You don't see this in Singapore cos if it s express bus, it means non-stop. You don't see this in UK cos it would be too cold to have a roadside fruit stall. It is so..

Malaysia.
